Made from Sapele and Maple with hand hammered copper applique, hand hammered copper nails add texture and character to the beautiful accent. This drum has a rich tone that is deeper than one might expect from a cajon and the depth is balanced by a crisp high pop produced by rimshots. I guarantee the tones will surprise and delight even the most experienced musician. I spent a year researching and developing my plan for this series of cajon and another 7 months building them. This one has all of the innovations I developed through that process with a unique snare that is easily and instantly adjustable from heavy snare to zero snare and a spectrum of settings in between. Adjust with a simple lever right on the face of the drum so you can change sounds without dropping the beat.
I also developed what I call buzz bands which are installed between the tapa and body to add vibrational tonal depth. I have never seen this on any other cajon and I tried numerous modifications to develop richer tones, this one paid off big time. See for yourself.
